I was just wondering what rear came in my car. I know its a 3:73 open rear but what spline axles does it have? I was also wondering what series it was and such, The reason Im asking is because I was thinking about buying a posi to put in it but I need to know what one I should buy.

 

26 spline axles.

3.23 and higher numerically are "3 series" 7.5" / 7.625" carriers.

3.08 and lower are "2 series"

You can very easily use later (~89 - 92) axles to change to 28 splines so you can use a posi that's 28 spline.

unless you bought the car new pull the cover and look. it could be either series and 26 or 28 spline.
