Identifying WC T5s and rear end question

Hi all. Long time reader first time poster. I'm looking for a 3rd gen camaro or firebird with a manual transmission.

I understand the "WC" is the most desirable (other than swapping a T56 or aftermarket) but can't seem to find a clear answer on what cars they came in. Were they in ALL 89 and later V8 cars including the RS? Is there a build sheet code for it or some visual indicator? Anyone have a link with some pics? Anyone have any GM technical specs on torque ratings of these tranny's?

Also I was told on another forum that "ALL" 3rd gens came with the small 7.5" 10 bolt rear end, but this seems contrary to some info on this board.

I'm not looking to build to drag car just a nice quick communter that will handle a moderate 350. Would like to find a good starting point as I really don't have time or space for another big project.

Thanks for any input.

Don't know of Bob and Tom, you don't mean Tom and Ray from Car Talk do you?

Thanks for all the links MdFormula350. Reading through them now. Looks like I should have done some more searching before posting.
