Need some help !!!

Ok, this is sooo stupid, but im going nuts with this.

Got my transmission rebuilt, all good and ready. Looked great and done well. But the dipstick i got was all kinked up and un-useable ( got the trans from a junkyard and sent it to trans shop to get rebuilt ).

So this is what i have. A TH 350 non-lock up all built up. But the problem is the dipstick is kinda funny. The original one i got is totally different from all of the th 350 sticks i see for sale on sites and at summit. The ones i see for sale all have a end that is pretty much just blunt, and uses O rings. The dipstick that came with the tranny is different, it becomes narrow at the end and uses the sleeve to keep it leak proof. I have been looking for a while now ( dont ask, i had to use car and just ripped off the end of the dipstick and stuck it in, but i need to be able to fill and check the fluid level, and i hate having it all jimmy rigged like that ).

So if anyone know's where i can get one please let me know, i have checked Everywhere, Ebay, all online sites i could find, even GM suppliers but all parts for that transmission are discontinued, Summit and Jegs only have the one i cant use. Talking to a manager at Summit he said he knows exactly what i was talking about. And that it might be the dipstick used in the later model TH 350's.

If i can take a photo of the it i will post it and show you the difference between the two ( still have the one i cant use in my garage )

Thanks for the help guys,
Opha

If it's a rubber sleeve, stick it partially on the end of the tube, grease up the od of the sleeve and shove the whole thing in the case. The 700's use the sleeve method too. Lokar sells a steel braided tube and stick for T350's. Go to a tranny shop and see if they have the correct tube. Try a wrecking yard. Go to a different dealer. Some counter people are lazy and don't know squat so they use the discontinued line on the old stuff.
Try one of the muscle car restoration companies, Year One, Classic Camaro.
