what is the math for choosing the right stall?
just picked up a 4th gen rear +posi(woot), but it has 2.73's...i'd like to step up to 3.42-3.73's.\

I'm not 100% sure on this, but shouldn't the stall speed be somewhere around your peak torque rpm?
Your best bet is to call TCI or B&M or another place that makes them. It depends on how the engine setup, where it makes it's power, and what the car is used for. Call them, tell them what you want (be honest) and they will reccomend the best converter for your application. Trust the experts when it comes to this.
