My 84 z28 with the t5 and hydraulic clutch setup's clutch pedal is super firm. Its not unbearable but its a pain the the butt to hold it down at stoplights. Ive driven other cars with a granny clutch and i was just wondering if the camaro was supposed to have a firmer clutch pedal.

I haven't driven yours, so it's hard for me to say if it's unusual. But, these cars usually have a little bit more pedal than most, though I certainly wouldn't consider it excessive or difficult. But that's just me, I've been driving stick shift cars since long before these came out. I traded in a 79 Z28 4-speed to get the car I have now, and it's not too much different from what the 79 was just as an example.

what you may find between your car and a more pedestrian car is that yes, the pedal is a bit firmer. I have never minded the pedal effort of the 84-up hydraulic clutch f-bodies.
Also with a mechanical linkage car, sometimes it will be easier to hold at the floor due to an over-centreleverage situation, whereas the hydraulic still requires full effort at the floor.

Slap a 3 finger Borg & Beck pressure plate in then anything will feel like a butter clutch.
