Transmission Tracking help...??
I think GM sold me a tranny out of something else. The A-holes in the service dept refuse to help me. They want to charge me to check out this crap serta. They think the step down cable is bad and I bought it new from a GM dealership...anyway. I think their is nothing wrong with the tranny but, they sold me one out of something other than a 3rd gen Camaro. Is their some way I can find out what this tranny was born into...???
Its a 700r4. A little plate on the rear driverside just before the tail shaft has these numbers on it:
Code: 2FU M7
Serial: 1078-017633
And it has a vertical number just beside that stamped into casting: 22 3070 1770
What am I to do.............. Please all you information buffs... Give a camaro brother a chance to stick one to the dealerships for ripping everybody off..!!! :hail: :hail:

An SRTA is a damn good rebuild with all the upgrades over the years.
The cases don't have many differences, so a truck case could have been used with an f-body tailhousing.
If the correct valvebody calibration and governor are in it and it's shifting at the right rpm's, don't worry about it.
