3.4L T-5 Questions
I looked at all five pages of posts and did not find the info I seeked, so I figured it would be a good idea to post them. I apologize if this has been asked before and I overlooked the post.
I was at the salvage yard and saw a 94 Camaro sitting at the end of a row of third gens. I approached it and looked in, much to my delight I see a manual shifter sticking trough the console and some nice grey/black seats. Turned out she was just a 3.4 V6 5 speed car.
So I went ahead and got the seats anyways, paid for them and left.
I'm reading the posts on this board and find the post ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=48307 ) that states that the 94 T-5 is a World Class unit. I am pretty sure the 3.4 is a standard 90* engine but that’s all I know about them.
Are they the same as the V8 T-5s from the late third gens, spline count ect....? Are they a bolt in tranny for a third gen? If it will work, do I use a stock third gen clutch, pressure plate, through out bearing, and flywheel or the 3.4 stuff?
I ask because I am getting ready to pull the motor (LB9) in my 88 Formula ( 135K, time for new valve seals and main bearings at a minimum ) and have wanted to go to a manual tranny in it for some time now, just can't find on local for a fair price. I could get this one for a very good price. I am just curious if this one will work. If it will I will pick it and all associated parts up from the salvage yard, otherwise will be having the 700R4 rebuilt.
Thank you for your time.

Well, he'd just need a v8 bellhousing and the tranny bolts up just fine. The problem is getting a big enough clutch and plenty of people have put a v6 t-5 in their v8. I've heard two ways to go. Get an 84 f-body clutch setup or a S-10 11" clutch setup (Basically the biggest there is).
