12v source for the t/c lock up?
Does is come from the computer? If not I assume I can cut the leads at the computer and wire my switch there. I want to bypass my Accel computer so it can be fully manual control.

as far as a stock 700r4...the computer takes a ground from the tranny 4th gear switch, and when it senses cruise, then it sends that ground back to the tranny, and the converter locks. the 12 volts is there already...need more info about your situation...
if you still have the coomputer there...tap into the OBD connector pins A and F. run you a wire and when you flip it, you should have lock-up in 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
easy to remove if you were to sell it.

As mentioned I am running a Accel DFI system, the computer keeps locking and unlocking under hard acc with the gear select in 2 or 3, I do not think it is supposed to lock when the gear select is in 2 or 3 so I think the computer might be malfunctioning so i want to totaly bypass it and see if it is the sending unit in the trans.

The power comes from the brake switch. If you disconnect it there, it won't lock up.
Whether it locks in 2nd or 3rd depends upon the PROM. Mine will lock in 2nd, 3rd or 4th if the speed is above 41 mph and steady.

I decided to give it a try and bypassed the computer and it works fine, can switch it on and off with the shifter in 2, D or O/D.
