the spider gears are broken on a trans am that I am buying now can it be fied? if it can be fixed what should I replace and also I'm debating if I'm gonna do a moser 12 bolt or 9 inch rear swap if it can't be fixed also I might wait on the swap.

Pull the cover off and rotate the big ring gear till you see a small bolt head. I think it takes a 5/16 socket and sometimes are very hard to take out. You can buy a replacement at the parts store in the help section if you smash yours to bits. After you take out that small bolt, you can slide out the center pin. After that's out, you can push in on both rear wheels to release the c-clips. They look like a horseshoe at the end of the axles. Then you can rotate a wheel to get the gears out.
Here's a pic of mine from a while back.
