Torque Converter Spline

Whats the spline count on a stock torque converter on a 700r4? and whats the difference between 27 and 30? tci has one that is 27 spline 1.703 crankpilot and it has one that is 30 spline 1.703 pilot. And how many teeth does the camaro's flywheel have? is it 168 or 184?

Assuming your 5.7 TPI was factory stock, it's at least an '87 model and therefore has 30 splines. The early versions, '83-'84 or '85, had 27 splines (as do the TH200-4R's). My '86 has 30, that I know.

The stock flexplate has 153 teeth.

You can go to a 168, but you'll have to change the starter.
