First of all can anyone tell me what my 1982 z28 came with. I know it is a 10 bolt but is it a 7.5". What was the stock gears 3.23? should I get 4.10 gears, I want better acceleration. thanks

does it really matter what it came with 22 years ago? if you want to know get the code off the rear end. what do you want out of the car? hard to tell if you should get 4:10s or not. i'd go more with a 3:42 or 3:73, but it all comes down to what you want intend to do wit hthe car. i know someone with an A4 and 4:10s and doesn't have any problems.

i had 4.10s with the 700r4. I loved it. It had great acceleration and could still do more than 130 . I mean theoretically .Um i liked them but you will probably get ****ty gas mileage, if that matters to you . It doesnt matter to me , but it might to you . Ill be switching to a t56 so they will be perfect.

I have the 4.10's now with a 700r4. love em. The gas mileage does suffer a little but the car is balanced to work with them. If youa re just driving around town and crusing, get em. If you are planning to race the car, go with something a little less like a 3.73 as you will run out of motor rpms before you get to the end with 4.10's

I am actually thinking about going with 4.33 or 4.56's soon. Ought to be fun.

I thought about going with a 4.10 but milage would be bad and I would run outta rpm really fast. I went with 3.73s. They probably won't be that much different but oh well. I figure 3.73s will fit my car well. I can't wait....going from a non-posi 2.73 rear to a posi 3.73 rear should be fun.
