I think I asked the wrong question before so I am going to rephrase it.

Can I take the guts(gears and carrier) from a 9 bolt rear and put them in a 10 bolt rear?

And will 9 bolt gears bolt on to a 10 bolt carrier?

As far as I am aware no they wont.

no. you can't interchange any parts for either rear.

nothing interchanges except maybe a bolt or two
