what stall??
Hey guys, my buddy has a 88 bird with a 355, 9:1 compression, XE274 cam, stock heads, headers and full exhaust, msd ignition, and a holley stealthram inductuction setup, and 3:73 gears, He is getting the trans rebuilt to handle alot of power and it will have a shift kit and corvete servo and what not. He asked me to find out what kind of stall he should get when he buys the conveter. He wants to go with a TCI if it makes a difference. Thanks guys

last i heard TCI was junk. get a vig or coan, or any of the better converters out there. i would assume a 2800-3000 stall would work well.

Plenty of people have had good luck with TCI. But personally Id recommend a 9.5" Midwest or Edge lockup. Affordable and a great reputation, plus the Edge is custom made for your car for under $600.
