V6 700r4 on a V8,.. is it possible?
Hey! I got a 700r4 and it's from a 2.8 Camaro. Now I need a tranny for my 350. Of course I got a Th-350 but if I could take the 700r4 that would be the best, I think. So I wonder if I can install the 700r4 on my V8 or if it's impossible. Please answer and give some alternatives if I can't do this... Thx!

i would use the th-350, the v6 700r4 doesnt look like it fits onto a v8.

Why is that for?
Is there any advantage to use the th350? I mean it's not even overdrive! Unless you tell me it's not so hard on gaz, or that it provides some good performances I don't know why I should put it there.

You can if you spent a bunch of money on the new Chevy Short Deck Small Block. It comes with the front wheel drive tranny bell housing bolt pattern (2.5 L4, 2.8, 3.1, 3.4 V6's) it is sold as a block only, and you would need to fab an intake for it.
So, technicaly yes you could, financialy, I couldn't.
EDIT: I thought this was a neat block because you could use it to make a V8 powered Z34.
