Whats the best tire to get for a 16" rims that is still street legal for a cheap price

If they are 8" wide I would go with 245/50/16. Every 3rd and 4th gen car with 16x8 wheels came with that size.

This really doesn't belong in this forum. You may want to have the mod move it for you.

My dad's got them on his 02 WS6. Burnout to warm them up, and it was enough to get his car a dead hook and 12.3 consistantly. And no, it's not stock

EDIT: And that's on a smaller sidewall and slightly wider patch. His are 275/x/17's.

Transmission: 700r4 w/ about 7500 miles on rebuild
actually, the stock size tires are 9.3" wide (at the tread), but the rim is 8" wide

All depends on the specific manufacturer. They all vary from tire to tire some, even if the sizing numbers are all the same.
