TKO Relocation Brackets

After driving on my TKO for about 5K miles, I finally put on the Relocation brackets from Fortes (very helpful folks). The vibration has stopped and it feels somewhat normal.

Has anyone done this and harmed the U-Joints or output shaft of the TKO because of the prior misalignment?

If its what I am thinkin..

they are two aluminum brackets that space the crossmember down by about .7". I don't think the main reason for this is ds alignment. I think it is for clearance at the top of the trans. I could not have gotten the crossmember bolted up with no spacer bc the trans touched on the tunnel. However, my DS alignment was worse with them in place. I ended up using about 5 3/8" washers under the trans mount to get it spaced back up as far as possible.

Then when the tremec was out, I used a big hammer on the trans tunnel and I don't need the spacers at all now. And the DS is straight.

Every since I put the TKO in, I had virbatrations at 50MPH +, much like the steel drive shaft issue that folks (like me) have had. I even threw on an Aluminum driveshaft and still had the vibration.

I had since learned that TKO's in (some?) 3rd Gens require a 3/4" relocation bracket that goes between the stock cross member and the frame which drops the TKO by 3/4" and pushes it slightly rearward on the passsenger's side.

Anyway, it solved my problem, but I am worried I may have damaged something (although it appears not).
