Clutch neutral safety switch wiring?

I am converting from auto to a T56....using 4th gen pedals. The pedals came with the clutch safety switch. Looking at the plugs with the switch installed... it has two male connectors that are parrallel to the floorboard.......I found a switch coming out of the wiring harness right about the fuse box with one thick purple and one IIRC yellow wire. Im assuming this is the connector I need for the clutch safety switch. The problem though...is that the plug itself is shaped different than the plug on the actual switch....and the plugs coming off the wiring harness on the car are also male, and are rotated 90 degrees compared to the plugs on the switch. Am I missing something here? Is this the right connector? I looked on autozones website.....and it shows the same part number for the safety switch on a 92 and a 97. Any ideas?

Sounds like the right plug. 1 thick yellow and 1 thick purple are the right colors and all.

You could cut the plug off and put on a couple of heavy-duty slide terminals. Make sure you do a good job of crimping, maybe solder them too, so you don't leave yourself a bomb hanging over you, to keep the car from starting later on.

i did the exact same thing.... i used 4thgen pedals with my T56 swap.

just use two female spade connectors... they fit on there very tight.. be sure to crimp them good or solder them
