I have an 86 T/A with a 350 carb my transmission will go in to the passing gear but will not come back out the sometimes when i go in to passing gear it feels like my i am in neutral and my temp goes up bc my engine is high revingcould anyone give me a list or tell me what cars came with my transmission

Off the top of my head are Astro vans, S10 trucks, Corvettes and RWD Caprices. However, I believe the 700R4's which had V6's in front of them have smaller input shafts.

All F-bodies from '83-'93 came with 70OR4 transmissions. Well...not ALL of them....but if you wanted an auto you got the 700R4 if you know what I mean.

From what I've learned here, the "best" 700R4's are from around '88 thru '93. The ones that came with the auxillary valve bodies.

 

You will have to get a 700-R4 from a thirdgen though because of the torque arm mount. None of the other GM car’s that it came in that I know of will work.

 

tranny doesnt have to be outa camaro u can use your tailshaft with traking arm mount from what i understand all v8 700r are same van truck except for tailshaft

 

the corvette 700R4 mounting is in a different spot. you cannot use the corvette one. i don't remember specifically if it is too far back or moved forward.
