Messed up my Diff!

I was in the process of replacing a bent axle. Had the diff open, removed the pinion shaft retaining screw, tapped out the pinion shaft, pulled the c-clip, and the axle came out no problem. I did some brake work, and when I was ready to put everything back together, the gears that pinion shaft go through...had moved. The pinion shaft hole does not align with the gear hole! How do I resolve this? When I spin the wheel, everything rotated together. This is a posi rear on 90 IROC. HELP!

Take the gears out and realign them. I just did this a couple of weeks ago when i swapped to a posi diff. You might have to take the diff out though, which is really easy and takes less then 5 minutes.

Yeah sorry thats how i did mine too. I took my posi diff out 4 times while i was setting up the gear pattern, so i got pretty good at it. I would have my brother just wiggle the wheel back and forth slightly till it slipped in. Glad you got it
