alluminum or steel flywheel

Hey guys,

I just bought T56 tranny and now looking for the rest of things to make it work (i.e. the clutch and flywheel).

What is the difference between alluminum and steel flywheels? Before someone says "The weight, duh" I realize that. I know alluminum spins up faster because of less rotating mass. How does that translate into performance? Is the difference noticable? Is there anything bad about alluminum? durability?

I need to decide which type to get, so looking for any help on that one.

for street applications you want steel. you need the mass to keep it spinning when there is no power to it, like when you're changing gears.
