stay auto or go manual?
since i wrecked my RS 5speed, i bought this iroc, automatic .
i really really miss the 5speed. and i can do the swap, all the parts from my rs.
however, i would like to know before i make my decision, your input of coarse, and which one would get me down the 1/4 faster? a 5speed manual, or 4 speed auto? i know in the end, the auto would be best choice. but how much work do i need to put into this auto to make it comparable to a manual in the 1/4?
thanks

stick shifts are fun, either you love them or hate em, i personally for racing would rather just put a vette servo in your tranny, and a nice stall converter! and that will give u good consistant launches and the vette servo will make your car break the tires loose at 2500 rpm. no missing shifts(if your nervous when u race) and i think clutches and syncros ar epretty damn expensive!
for the street i would pick a stick, for racing id pick an auto!
just my opinion

well basically, i know stock for stock, the 5speed would womp the auto in a race. but what i guess i want to know is what it would take to make the automatic faster then the manual?
shift kit? and since in new to autos, whats a servo?
