Can you do this?
Can you take a transmission (TH700R4) out of an 83 4x4 Blazer and put it into an 83 Z28 Camaro with a TH700r4 also. Is there a difference?

No, a 700R4 from a 4x4 will have a short output shaft and no tailshaft housing because it bolts up to the transfer case.
