My 700R4 has a very weird shifting problem. Say Im in OD or D, Im normally driving and the trans goes to shift from 1st to 2nd and the RPMs jump up kinda high and then it shifts to 2nd, same thing for 2nd to 3rd shift, Im not sure what it is, its really aggravating, because I just get so mad I manually shift. It usually doesnt do it when its cold but nowadays, Ill jump in when its cold and it does it right off the bat. I just changed my trans filter/fluid about a little more than a month ago attempting to fix this and it didnt help one bit. I just dont know what it could be it is extremely annoying. The trans came out of my old 85 Berlinetta and never had this problem. I stripped the 85 to put the 82 T-top together and it started doing it once I put it in here. I really need some help here, Ive heard about servos and such but I really have no idea whats up here. Like I said, when it shifts, itsl ike its slipping a bit then it shifts but Im not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

have you tried adjusting the throttle valve cable or checking line pressure.this is where we need to start

 

I'd say check the fluid first and determine if it's low or extremely dirty. Then adjust the TV cable correctly.
