ok i read it and understand pretty well which brings me to my next question, how well does a torque converter do with a higher stall when speaking quarter mile times? as u can tell by my sig, mine sucks.

so basically i wanna know how to choose the correct stall for my car. and what is the factory stall rating?

stall

a higher speed stall converter will multiply ur torque more than stock but dun get stall happy, talk to someone tht can match the stall to ur needs...btw a lil cam wouldnt hurt either but make sure u match em up

This is one of those cases where bigger isnt always better. The best way to get the best converter for your car is to call up the company that you want to buy from. They ask you a ton of questions about your entire vehicle combination.
and what is the factory stall rating?
Engine power has a huge effect on stall speed. Increasing power while using the same converter will result in a higher stall speed even thought it is the same converter. Usually stock converters stall in between 1800-2300.

Not true. Stall has little to do with how much torque multiplication occurs. Only when that multiplication occurs.
