350 carb or lt1?

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Stock 9 bolt
350 carb or lt1?

ive got a 350 block sitting in my garage right now ready to build i want to put a top flow top end kit on it which will produce 500hp and 450ftlbs sould i do that or buy an lt1 and build from there?

The advantages of the LT1 motor are that u can run a little more compression and a more aggresive timing curve...

The motor is also reverse cooled meaning the water goes from the WP right into the head (colder water means more C/R and more timing) then into the block....you CANNOT swap heads from a LT1 to a gen 1 SBC...

so if that kit is for a SBC then it wont work on a LT1...not without extensive modifications
