Torque Converter Slipping

I recently switched my carb from the stock Quadrajet to a holley 600. The Rochester and the torque converter were computer controlled so it no longer shifts at the right rpm. Does anyone know a cheaper fix than purchasing a $160 lock-up kit

The torque converter has nothing to do with shift points. More likely is that the TV cable is out of adjustment. The easiest way to adjust the cable is to depress the little "D" shaped button on the cable, push the little ferrule back in the housing all the way, release the button, then go depress the gas pedal all the way. It will self adjust, and your good to go again.
