Griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind!

Well...I don't know whats wrong. I have a 5spd and when ever it's in gear...It grinds. Not a steady grind, but every few seconds or so. I don't think its the clutch because It has no problem getting in or out of gear. When in neutral Its not so bad if i hold in the clutch but once i let go of it...it grinds away. Should i get it checked out? or just get a new tranny? or do any of you have suggestions to what it might be?

Are you sure it's a grind or could it be a whine?????

Does it go away in any gears, particularly 4th???

It isn't as bad when the clutch is disengaged.......

hmmm

You'll need to be a lot more specific, if it's a grind or whine, when the trans is in neutral with and without the clutch disengaged so some problems can be eliminated.
