rear end ratio

you can find out what gears you have in your rear end by looking at the axle code listed on the passenger side axle housing. the first three numerals are all you should be concerned with. (if the rear has non-factory gears in it..well scratch everything im saying) the first three should be something like this....8XX, 6HP, Ect.

then look in the hayes manual or anywhere else you can get info on the axle, and it should tell you the gear ratio in the rear end.
