quick th350 question...
will a th350 from a 79 K5 blazer 4WD 350sbc fit into a thirdgen? did they make different th350's? cause a junk yard near me has one for sale for cheap thats all rebuilt and stuff, if i can use it im gonna get it, but i wanna make sure i can use it before i do this, thanks alot guys
Go and look at it, see if its just a th350 with no tailshaft installed. If it is, you are in a good position for a kit that i can send you a link too. It will make all of your installation problems non-existant.

Check this bad boy out. It comes with everything you need, but the 700r4 tailshaft, you have to take that off of your existing trans, or from a junkyard (cheap). This allows you to retain your factory torque arm mount (cause its on the 700 tailshaft), speedo equipment, crossmember, and driveshaft.
Basically it is a 700r4 output shaft, that you install in the 350, a spacer block that allows the 700 tailshaft to be installed. It comes with the th350 dipstick tube, kickdown cable, dust cover for the flexplate, and a nice list of instructions.
Oh, dont worry about the shifter. Alot of people claim you will need a new one, not true, mine works just fine, no hunting for gears. You just use PRND32 as PRND21. Its a pretty slick setup. It even comes with the sticker to put over your shift indicator, so it reads the right gear.
