My buddy has a rearend from what he says is an 84 t/a i dont know much bout the pontiac counterparts its got disc brakes and a posi is this a 10 bolt rearend or 9 and what woudl the gear be if its out of a 5.7 car

 

It's a 10-bolt. Probably Gov-Lock {insert commode-huggin sounds here}

It's not a 5.7; or at least, it didn't come that way. You won't have to worry about that.

Most likely it's a 3.23 gear, but it could be a 2.73, 2.93, 3.08, 3.23, or 3.73 since all of those were used in car combos that disc brakes were available in.

 

think it would be worth $100 is that a good posi im pretty sure ive heard of them but cant quite rember tright now


EDIT: doh i jsu remberd how dum that makes me sound forgot that the 350 wasent back untill 85 right? lol or was it 87? man i cant rember anythign right now doh
