I went to pass a car the other day,was doing about 55 or so,I hit the gas pretty hard..and I though t I heard a pop sound when it went to shift.
Now it does the strangest thing...while cruising it won't hold the gear I'm in...like when I'm doing 60mph I should be holding steady at about 2300 rpms...yet as soon as I leave off the gas..the tach drops to under 1000rpm's...and you can feel the car slowing down right away..like there is no pressure..never seen anything like this.. as soon as I hit the gas it goes up to 2300 again but drops as soon as I let off..the tach is good,you can feel the tranny not holding the gear....the tranny was rebuilt only 2 months ago and is under warranty. It shifts up through the gears fine..but won't hold them...anybody hear of this??
