HELP......spacing between T.V. cable hookup and T.V. cable bracket......
i just got done swapping in a Vortec 355 into my trans am and it came with a performer RPM intake made for a holley.....well i am using my stock q-jet so ontop of the already slightly raised intake i had to bolt on an adapter plate......well i used studs to set the throttle,T.V., and cruise control bracket up to the same level as the carb, but i think that the bracket is too close to the back of the carb......i just got this transmission rebuilt and ended up replacing the T.V. cable also and when i adjust it by pushing the button in and getting inside the car and hitting WOT and letting it rachet out on its own, it seems to have too much slack when i let off because now it feels like the cable came loose in the transmission.....does anyone know how far away the T.V cable bracket should be from the place in which the little clip clips onto the throttle linkage?
i really wanna drive and break in my new motor but i also dont wanna fry this new transmission
any help would be greatly appreciated......thanks!

I was just reading this from another posting. It shows how to properly adjust the cable and what it all means etc.

but now she has 150 miles on her!
i have been even driving it on the ice around town and it has been handling it like a champ!!!!
only problem is that i lost the keys to it lastnight while helping a friend get their firebird out of a ditch...lol gotta love people that try to go too fast on snow and ice.....hopefully it will all melt tomorrow and i will be able to go back and find it......
