Torsen keeper block

When I got my torsen rear from the salvage yard, the small rectangular metal block that you slide in and put the little bolt through that keeps the axles in place was not installed. Does it matter how this keeper block goes in as long as the bolt will fit? Which side goes up?

I don't think it matters as long as it fits well and the bolt goes through the hole in the block. Good luck,

The bolt hole tab has to go to where the retaining bolt can go through it. Other than that, it can't be put in wrong.

I tried it both ways and it was real obvious which way was right. Thanks for the feedback.
