i cut 2 hardlines in my 700r4 and reattached with nice compression fitting s

my question is"what whould hapeen if u reversed them re attaching

Probably not much. Fluid is supposed to flow into the bottom port on the rad and out the top to prevent splashing and aeration, but I don't know that you'd have a problem.
