I found a limited slip carrier assembly lying in a junkyard. It was next to a disassembled S-10 rearend so I'm thinking it came from there. I don't have pics unfortunately since I'm not a computer wiz, so I'll try to discribe it. (sorry)
It has a "double diamond" cast into it along with what looks like a large "G". It has an end plate which unbolts using counter sunk 6point bolts. Stamped into the unit next to the hole where the springs are is H7-> <-72
The ring gear says 13:40 7-5/8 then there's something I can't read following that. I know the 13:40 is the gear ratio.
Any help would be appreciated, I had the rear apart in my 83 and it seemed to fit, but it (the junkyard posi) needs to be rebuilt and I have a new Auburn unit in the car now.
It was a freebie so if it's junk it's no big deal.

If the thing that looks like a "G" is like this pic, it's an Auburn. That's what it sounds like.
It's a 3.08 gear (insert gagging sounds here) which means it's 2 series.
Probably not worth much.
It might be worth counting the splines in the side gears though.

that would be it, thanks.
