has anyone used the hurst th350 conversion kit

i'm doing the TH350 conversion in my 94 ( i know i'm a gen off but oh well) and i bought the hurst conversion kit, well i can not for the life of me get the torque arm mounted on the plate that mounts to the tailshaft of the tranny. if anyone knows about this prob. let me know.

the part # 550-0001 purchased from jegs u can look it up on the webpage.

i did post on camaroz28.com and no replies.

I did and I had the same problem. I had to drill my own holes in the Hurst Bracket to get the Torque Arm Clamshell bracket to fit. Stupid Hurst.

ok that is the method i was going to use (drilling). did it through your pinion angel off?

Hurst's swap kit allows the installation of the GM TH-350 or TH-400 transmission in the 1982-92 Camaro/Firebird.
this could be part of your problem

Nah, even through 82-92 there were 3 different styles of Torque Arm Clamshell brackets used. I did my install on a 89 IROC-Z and it didnt work for me. I think the problem is with Hurst. Even the instructions were retarded.

Not sure if it threw the pinion angle off or not, sorry. Haven't noticed any problems with it yet. Just drill it so it mounts relatively close to the position Hurst wanted.
