world class t-5 shifter vs reg t-5, any difference?

is there any difference between the way the WC t-5 shifter attaches to the base and the way a regular t-5 attaches to the base? i know the t-5 in my '84 and 14x2 threads at the base and it just screws on, would be any different for the tranny in a '91 t-5?

or if there is a trick to getting the shifter off, please tell!

Another question I've got along these lines is whether there's any difference between the t5 behind a v8, or behind a v6. I assume they're the same.
