Engine: 95 383 CI (6.3) LT1
Transmission: 95 T-56
383 Lt1

Am I going over board buying:

4340 rods
cast crank

and the big question, im going forged over hypereutectic pistons. I was told I may be going over kill on the pistons since im running straight N/A and that the forged pistons will be heavier. Im going to be building a 383 with LE1 heads and a gm846 cam (I don't want to rev too high, problably shift at 5800-6000rpm). What I do want is something that will be bullet proof which is why im opting for forged pistons over the hypereuctectics. Perhaps someone else who went throuhg this dilemma can give me a hand as im ordering very soon. Thanks.
