89 Iroc rear question

A friend of a friend of mine has a rear from his 89 iroc, the car was totalled like 10 years ago, so he only has the rear. The car was an 89 Iroc 350 TPI Automatic... He says it has a posi and has disc brakes. On the tech sheets it shows only a 2.77 and a 3.27 gear ratio. He also thinks the posi needs to be rebuilt. How much do you think the rear is worth? What gears do you think are in it? My 84 has 3.73 open, and my guess is they wont work in that rear, is this correct? How much would it be to rebuild the posi? I think he said it only needs to be shimmed. The other thing is I have drum brakes, so I guess I would need a new proportioning valve, whats that cost? Please any help would be great.

$10-$100. For instance, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6763

You can get an LS1 rear for that with 3.42 gears, and huge disk brakes. The only problem is wheel fitment. I would not offer much more than $175 for that rear.
