A4 ?
Is there any difference in an A4 from a 89 formula and an A4 from a 89 vette? Ive had my formula for about a year and a half, and I was told it had a tranny from a vette, but that really doesnt mean anything to me. The only thing I can think of is that 1st and 2nd might be geared a little differently, just from the way it feels compared to other cars.

Gearing was the same on all 700R4's, regardless what they came out of. There isn't really much different internally, there's the "Corvette servo", but a lot of F-bodies had those too. Corvette models had shorter output shafts and different tailshaft housings, but those could have been changed.

so what was different in the servo? and basically when the guy did this he wasted money? He said the one he had was still good, he just wanted a vette tranny.

The Corvette servo gives more apply pressure for the 2nd gear clutch, but like I said they're found on a lot of things besides Corvettes.
Basically yes, when the guy did this he wasted money.
