What's this and how do I hook it up again?

So I had to take my trans out, but now cant figure out how to put this little black plunger thing in. It connects to the carb as well, but I have no idea it's function, nor how to hook it up again. I'm guessing that anyone who's taken their trans out would know how to get it back in. Thanks

TVS cable tells the tranny to down shift when you nail the gas pedal.

There is a hole facing straight up on the pass side of the tranny with a little wire hook in it. It attaches onto the hole in the end of the cable. Might have to push the cable back towards the tranny cause I can't see that part in the pic. Then it's secured with one small bolt into the tranny.

The other end connects to the throttle linkage on your carb or TB or TBI. Then it has to be adjusted or you could screw up your tranny.

Try a search on TVS adjustment. Mentioned many times.

from the pics it looks like the tv cable is broken at the trans end, there should be a cable with a z bend in it that hooks up to a rod inside the transmission
