I have the factory rear end... not posi. My dad has a posi-trac 4.56 complete rear end. Could I the posi clutch/system from the 4.56 in the stock rear end or do I need another complete set of gears? Thanks.

Depends on what model and year of rear your dad's stuff is out of.

It is a 1973 Corvette. I don't think it will work, but it is worth asking about if I can. Save me some money, yes.

No it won't work. Totally different model of rear end.

If it was a 90-up F car or S truck, then it might work.

Thought as much. Well, I'll hafta buy a new one. That rear end is almost new, and I was wishing I could put something if it to good use.
