Transmission Issues

Lately my transmission feels like there's no power while in second (don't know if that makes any sense, but I know next to nothing about cars...). It also feels like it's slipping while shifting from first to second and second to third. Any ideas so I don't go to the transmission shop tomorrow totally ignorant?

Sounds like the normal 700R4 issues. You may be able to baby it for a while, but a re-build will probably be very soon.Have you checked the fluid?

Yeah, the fluid is good. Been replaced recently and I've been checking it about once a week because it's been leaking off and on. I figured I needed a rebuild, but it's good to have someone agree with me that knows more than I do. Thanx.

Mine started doing this. A week later the 3-4 clutch bands went out. So now it has no 3rd or 4th gear. This is my second 700r4. So I ordered a TCI street fighter TH350. Hopefully it does better.

If you don't mind me asking how much did they charge you? Shops around here usually want ~900$ to do a stock rebuild on a 700r4. That includes pulling it and reinstalling it also.
