anyone having trouble with their new tko 600's??

mines got about 1000 miles of nice easy driving on it, and its a **** to get into 1st and 2nd........it doesnt grind, just wont go into gear.....

clutch isnt dragging,

you have to push on the shifter and wait for it to syncronize then it will go in, im talking a hard throttle 1-2 shift that takes like a full second......its IMPOSSIBLE to bang gears.

just to avoid the obvious ridiculous questions the transmission was broken in correctly using the correct lube etc etc.

my old tko was fine.......this one is giving me fits

I'll send this link to Schultzy89gta, I know he is having issues with his TKO and the 2nd gear syncro. He talked to Fortes about it a couple of weeks ago. IIRC his is the older TKO though, not the 600.

Was the tranny like that since you bought it or did it just randomly start happening one day?

I have a similar issue with 3rd gear. at high rpm i cannot powershift the 2-3 upshift. i can shift quickly, quick enough to bark the tires, but it will not go into gear if i powershift it. the 1-2 and the 3-4 are great. my trans shifts awesome all the time except a WOT 2-3 powershift.

Call Bob Hanlon at Hanlon Motorsports www.hanlonmotorsports.com

He's the Tremec master. I spoke with him at length a few months back and he said that many of the Tremecs had experienced similar issues. A whole batch came out that didn't have the reverse fork properly machined, and the trans would pop out of reverse. The problem, he said, is that the Tremecs are sold strictly for aftermarket use. Consequently they do not have the quality control that the T56, T45, or other transmissions used in OEM applications have. Those transmissions have to meet the manufacturers quality control standrds, not just TTC's. I'll bet this is a similar issue.
