Rear End Gears
HELLO Everybody,
I have a 1985 z28 camaro wondering what kind of rear end it has and what gears it has??? I'm looking to change the gears to 3.73 gears. what kind of things should i know about My rear End before i start shopping around for GEARS?

check your RPO codes... they will tell you what gears you have. and i am not sure, but there might be a tag on the diff cover that says so too

RPO codes only tell you what the car came with stock. You need to pull the rear end cover and count the teeth or look for the pinion to ring gear ratio stamped in there. That is the only way to tell for sure what you have.
