what has 28 splines?

what has 28 splines?
i know the 90-92s had 28 splines, and some 89s. but was it all vehicles 90 and up or only certain ones. also, were there any before then that came w/ them?

89 was a changeover year so some had them some didnt. in 90 all cars got them regardless of other options. i believe the Astro vans and S-10 pickups got them at the same time. no other cars had these axles before 89.

so astros and s-10s have the same axle as we do? do you know what years they were in? thanks for your help.

Only the late 89's "might" have 28 spline. The only axles that will fit into a third gen housing are from another third gen housing. S10, Astro's etc are all different lengths and will not work.
