hey guys i just built a non emissions legal carb/355. i have a 2800 stall converter. when at a stop if i hold the brake the engine only revs to like 2000 rpm before the tires start spinning.

Also at WOT its shifting at 4000-4200 and normal driving its only getting up to like 2500. what can i do to get it high in the rpms (where my powerband is at which is like 3200-6500 rpm) before it shifts?

also do i need a lockup for the converter since i deleted the computer wiring?

Swap the springs in the governer to adjust the shift points.
