please help!!

I was driving my car today and everthing was fine until i heard some clanking and screaching from underneath the car. The car was about to stall but it didnt, and i drove it home. On the way home the car would make horrible noise everytime i put the clutch in. Its now parked in front of my house and i cant get the car to start now. It tries to start but nothing is turning, everything is seized. Does this sound like a blown clutch or a blown tranny. I had the tranny rebuilt and clutch replaced about 20,000 miles ago

Not an expert but hope it helps.

brian88gta,

My experience with the F-Body clutch is about 0. However, I have changed clutches in many cars probably done it 20 times if not more.

[B]RE: Does this sound like a blown clutch or a blown tranny. [B]

It may not be as bad as you think... Sure your Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Throw-Out bearing are most certainly TOAST! but the tranny COULD very well be just fine!

The screaching sound was PROBABLY your Throwout Bearing Contacting the Splines of your clutch. Either the Bearing Seazed and eat itself, or a Spring on one of the Splines eat itself. Either way the Clutch cannot release the disk. If your depressing the clutch pedal with the car in gear, and trying to turn the car over it's trying to turn the engine over, and the tranny, and MOVE the car all at the same time. That will never start!

Hope that helps.
