50MPH+ vibration on the left front.

So I wont admit how long but to long I have suspected my left front rotor was a bit warped. But time and money just haven't met. And in reality the only time I do 50+ is when I am speeding. My car rarely see highway use. Just around town driving.

I started to notice my side mirror was out of adjustment.
I went to adjust it while driving and found my vibration. My door skin had come lose but its still looks fine. Around 50 MPH it starts to grab enough air to lift the tiny bit it can and then back and fourth and back and fourth.

If I held my arm against the door the vibe goes away.

Funny though. Its not like its rusted down the seam and flapping in the breeze. Like maybe a spot weld or two came lose and the folded over edge is just holding it on.

New door is probably an easier fix.

New skins would be nice. I hate changing doors.
I fixed my problem with a blob of silicone.
Turned out to only be a spot 1 1/2 long right at the top.

No more funny vibrations.

I own other non fbody cars of vintage years and on some models I can buy replacement doorskins.

maybe when our cars become vintage someone will reproduce the doorskins, I am hoping that someone already does make them . would be much easer to change doorskin than to replace the entire 75+ pounder door.

If anyone comes across a company that sells door skins plz let me know!

Check "body" then "body panels" "doorskins\hardware".

They do a few doorskins, hopefully the right one.
I might be placing an order with them soon.
