does gearing/stall affect hp & torque?

was wondering if the rear end gearing and the stall converter affects either horsepower or torque, i know it affects 1/4 mile times, speed, gas consumption, and all that, but does it affect the 2 most important things?
the reason i ask, beside that i dont know, is i want to dyno my car with the engine i have built, but i wont have money for the gear, tire, and such for a while, and want to figure out the best size stall, gear, and tire size by getting my hp and torque figures first, thanks for any help!

no gearing and converters will not change the hp and torque output of your engine.

as you kow they will affect how that power intranfered to the rear wheels though. the dyno operator SHOULD be able to get you a close number on your flywheel hp using a math formula for drivtrain losses.
